Twinkle, twinkle, little star

During this festive season, I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching infants and elementary students Christmas songs, in particular ‘Twinkle, twinkle, little star’. The tune is familiar to Italians, so it makes my job easier. Also, I can play the tune, so there is a novelty factor when I walk into the classroom with my guitar. Pre-teaching some of the vocabulary certainly helps to get the students singing, however most groups mumble some of the lines. Colouring handouts of stars, diamonds, and the world are useful with the youngsters.
